Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is now available for treating heel pain caused by achilles tendinopathy and plantar fasciopathy. Shockwave therapy is non-invasive, and involves the application of high energy pressure waves to the tendon to reboot the body’s healing process and reduce pain. Studies have found greater relief with shockwave therapy and exercise than with exercise alone.

Generally, 3 treatments are required one week apart. Make an appointment to see Ann to discuss your suitability for this treatment.
