(Common cold viruses, influenza, vomiting, gastroenteritis and COVID-19)

We wish to remind our patients of our Practice policies for Patients who are unwell and wanting an appointment in clinic.

If you are unwell (regardless of a negative Covid-19 result) please click here for information regarding appointments while you are unwell.

We are committed to providing your ongoing healthcare and keeping everyone safe and well.

Masks at the Practice

As of October 1st 2023, mask usage at Adelaide Health Care will be voluntary for both patients and staff. This means you can choose whether or not to wear a mask during your visit if you are well.

Some Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health practitioners may still request mask usage in consultation rooms. Please help us maintain a safe environment by continuing to monitor for any viral illness and advise Reception at the time of booking.

Change of billing policy for Saturday appointments

As of 1 July 2023, appointments on Saturdays will incur an additional charge of $5 and bulk billing policies will no longer apply. Those holding health care cards or pension cards will be charged at a reduced rate.
These changes are to help cover the costs of remaining open on a Saturday so we can continue to provide our patients with weekend appointments.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

A reminder about telehealth appointments

To be eligible for Medicare rebates on telehealth fees you must have had a face to face appointment in the clinic in the last 12 months. Please note that there may be circumstances when your doctor will need to arrange a face-to-face consultation after your Telehealth consultation, in order to complete their assessment and examination.
Adelaide Health Care requires private billing for telehealth consultations in line with all consultation costs. This means that there may be a fee payable for your phone consultation. You will receive a phone call from our reception staff after your consultation to make the payment.

An Environmentally-Friendly Practice

We  are concerned about the impact of climate change and the overall health of our planet.  To reduce energy use we have installed solar panels, changed to low energy use light bulbs and have recently had an energy use audit offered by Adelaide City Council.  We have an ongoing project to reduce the amount of office and medical materials going to landfill and are using a variety of  recycling programs, including for soft plastics and bio-waste.  We are also changing the products we use to more environmentally friendly options such as  ‘Who Gives a Crap’ Toilet Paper. Keep an eye out, there are more changes to come!
